I started out being interested in cars at the young age of 14. The love of cars, mostly muscle and classic, has continued through-out the years. I grew up on a small farm in southern Iowa and spent any money I made doing chores, on car magazines. Purchased my first car at 15 and thought I needed to trade every few months!!!!!!!
By the time I graduated from high school at age 17, I had moved up to a 1965 Chevelle SS, 327 4 speed, my first of many muscle cars. ( I still love the early shoebox Chevelle)
At age 18, I met my wife, Pat, and we soon purchased our first car for resale. It was a 1960 Corvette CV, that we paid 500.00 dollars for and drove it home!!!!! (Not sure how we came up with 500.00 dollars since we were only making $1.25 an hour)
That was the first of many cars that we purchased and resold through-out the years. In 1978 we were encouraged, by the IA DOT, to get a dealer's license, which we did. Hence, Country Cars came into being.
Well, that was 40 years ago and we're still selling cars!!!!!! We hand pick them, no rust buckets here. We really enjoy making folks dreams come true. We sell good cars at reasonable prices.
